diy magnetic knife rack

i like diy projects that i can do, and do well.  it drives me nutty when i try something diy and then it looks, diy.

i think i can pull this off via the farm chicks.  we have precious space in the kitchen, and this will definitely free it up.  our knives aren't super cute likes these, though.  wow!  these paring knives are available at amazon for $10 each (my favorite is periwinkle).
