makeover- pegboard and suzani

guess what arrived from uzbekistan yesterday? i love getting packages from different places- they wrapped it in twine and a wax seal.  so cool.  and, i know you've been dying to see our pegboard.

i wanted to show you what it looks like before the finishing touches.  the suzani needs a little ironing and our kitchen needs to get repainted because the stove has scorched the wall.

our kitchen doesn't fit the nice 2' x 4' pegboard from home depot, so we had to cut it by hand

we went to abc carpet and home today, and saw a gorgeous suzani... for $2400.  it looked a lot like the one i got from ebay, for $69

this gorgeous suzani below would make your home look just like amanda peet's... get it while it's still affordable!

this one is beautiful as well

just, don't get it at abc carpet and home, because you could get 250 different suzanis for the price of one with a little elbow grease.
