don't lose sight of lucite

my husband might seriously get rid of me if i exchange another piece of furniture.  but, the next one to get exchanged would be our west elm (sorry west elm) bar and table for lucite.  it's so much chicer and helps tiny spaces.  let's drool over these photos:

how to jazz up a beige room

according to apartment therapy, you should have 80% neutrals and 20% color.  i think it's easier to add color to a beige room than go the other way... (from experience!).  here are some quick suggestions:

1.  add gorgeous yellow curtains.  everyone knows yellow is my favorite color.  make a statement with bright yellow.  or, if yellow is too yellow for you, i think the black and white striped curtains are amazing in a home that you want to keep gender neutral.

2.  paint the walls dark.  it will make the rest of your things pop!

3.  get an amazing rug

ikea has a similar rug

ebay has a ton of similar antique rugs

the madeline weinrib zig zag rug of course is my favorite

4.  decorate with black and white things
